5 Life Lessons I Learned from Sabrina the Teenage Witch

Description of Photo

My main (only) past time as a child was TV, and a lot of it. If it was on Nickelodeon or Disney in the 90s I more than likely can replay full episodes of the show in my head. I learned so many things from the amazing sitcoms so I thought it would be fun to look back on some of them.

One show that I was obsessed with and still love was Sabrina the Teenage Witch so below is a list of 5 lessons and facts I learned from the TV gem.

1.     I only like cats if they can talk and can talk with a grace of sarcasm

Salem Saberhagen is probably one of the most loved cats on TV and it is a lot for me to say that seeing as I am not the biggest fan of cats.

2.    What the dessert flan is

Ok I may still never have tried flan but I at least know what the wobbly goodness is if I am ever presented with it. Same with bundt cake!

3.  “A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle”

This line is from when Sabrina travelled back to the 70s and made no sense to me as a child, I just thought the idea was funny but now it makes so much sense!

4.  Its ok not to be cool in school because the popular kids are the sub characters who get kicked off the show in the end anyway.

Libby never made anything of herself, everyone knows that.

5.  True love always wins out in the end

Even though Sabrina was dragged out easily into Melissa Jone Hart's 40's I still had a happy feeling inside when she ends up with Harvey in the final episode. Soul mates.

Bonus lessons! : Over the knee socks are the height of popular fashion, Britney Spears was once not a mess, some songs never leave your head (shake your whammy fanny..) and of course what Mitosis is.

Thanks Sabrina!

This post took so much longer than expected due to the nostalgic Tumblr spiral I got caught up in.
