Autumnal Nails || Essence + Catrice

Thursday, October 24, 2013

Hey look I went outside! Ok just to take photos of my nails but it still counts. I hadn’t painted my nails at all since the wedding in August, as the gel nails I got seem to of left me with brittle stumps for things. They are finally starting to grow back and I wanted something a bit more autumnal. Like everyone else at this time of year I am kind of obsessed with anything maroon/burgundy so I found these two great shades from Essence and Catrice on my last visit to Penneys.
The Catrice colour is called The Monkey Gets Funky and is a purple maroon colour with small golf flecks. The gold flecks are unnoticeable when on the nail but great coverage after two coats. The super sparky colour I got from Essence is called Time for Romance and I LOVE it. Has to be one of the best glitter nail polishes I have ever got regards coverage, even compared to a Nails Inc. one I have.
Two coats gives you a dark pink colour put paired with the Catrice underneath gives darker maroon. I use the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat to finish everything off as you never know how how the cheaper brands of nail varnish can last on their own. With this topcoat I had the colour on for almost six full days! This mean I can buy as many €1.49 Essence nail polishes I want!

Anyway enough about nails and back to watching the last 2 episodes of Breaking Bad! I know everyone else in the world watched it weeks ago but I don’t want it to end!
