If there is one trend I am seeing a lot of through blogs lately its candles. I am a lover of candles myself too but I can't get over the price some people pay for them. I do fall easily for lovely packaging so I wouldn’t say no to a Jo Malone candle if it came my way but I’m always on the hunt for a better deal. I was in my local pharmacy a few weeks ago (best place to get different brands from the usual) and came across Celtic Candles. If I’m honest I nearly didn’t pick it up as I wasn’t blown away by the packaging and the name but seeing it was organic and Irish I said I would give it a go. I like the glass jar and the lid but there would be no harm in a rebrand to suit the scent and organic ingredients. There were a few different scent options but I had to go for the zesty lemongrass scent. The scent is a very sweet and citrus and reminded me a lot of the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush range which is my favorite scent of any shower gel! So fresh and zingy.

I have had this candle a few weeks now and it burns really well. I wasn’t sure how well it would as I have never had organic wax before but it seems to have a longer lasting power than cheaper candles, and was still only priced around €12.

Over all the scent of this candle would make me repurchase it again but would love a rebrand to reflect the quality of actual candle.
