Life Lately #4 || New Year & the NorthWest

Tuesday, February 17, 2015

Last week I gave a small update on my plans for this little space on the Internet. I want it to be a fun place for me to share elements of my life so I thought the best place for me to start would be with a quick life update on what I have been up to the past few months.

The last weeks of 2014 were a bit of a blur if I’m honest, I decided to finish up working in Kilkenny so this meant a lot of planning, organising, moving and of course celebratory drinking and tapas eating (If you know Kilkenny you know tapas are a necessity). It was a fun time but it was an anxious time too due to having no definite plans and also having my driving test right before I finished too.  I had very bad stress over this but I did FINALLY pass! I think I will do a separate post on this and how I got through it; might be helpful to some of you still putting off your test.

Christmas came around very quickly and was great to have a long relaxing break at home with my family. As tradition I did far too little and ate far too much.  We spent New Years with a small group of friends in Galway playing board games and taking for very windy and refreshing walks. It was the perfect way to ring in 2015 and get the year started.

After hiding in the comfort of home for 2 weeks it was time to make the big move up North West. If you follow my Instagram feed you probably would have noticed a slight change in location since January. It’s amazing that even in such a small country as Ireland the landscape from one side to the other can be completely different.  Honestly the first week was a slight culture shock moving back to the countryside and having no Internet connection (STILL Waiting!) to be installed but I am now beginning to love it. This is myself and my boyfriends first home together and I couldn’t ask for anything more perfect (even without the internet).

How has your New Year being so far? Any big changes on the horizon?
